A World AIDS Day Message

In the tradition of Stonewall, Pride Portland's HIV Advisory Board was created in 2019 to raise awareness about Maine's ongoing HIV epidemic at Portland's annual pride festival and through out the year. We have partnered with Frannie Peabody Center, Maine oldest HIV/AIDS service organization to celebrate World AIDS Day by virtually hosting 8 panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The Quilt sections on display include panels that represent the impact HIV/AIDS has had on Maine and Northern New England, and stand as a reminder of those we have lost, those still with us, and the work that is still to be done. Act up! Silence Equals Death.
