Come get dirty with Pride Portland! at the Pride Portland! Launch Party on Saturday, May 18th at Aura! We will be announcing future events, the parade theme, Grand Marshal, honorees for The 10 Days of Pride, and much more. Prism Queer Dance Party is then topping it off with a variety show with DJMJ and DJ Red Tide, dancing, drinks, and burlesque! Please dress fabulously and bring your dancing shoes. Pride Portland! is pleased to announce the that it is partnering withthe Portland Recovery Community Center for it's first meeting of theaddiction recovery affinity group.We’ve held community meetings in the past but we wanted to take these gatherings a step forward and use this time to to build community, and recruit and train future pride leadership. This is one such step in what we hope will be a continuing avenue of community engagement.Pride Portland! would like to invite all of Southern Maine's LGBTQ+people in addiction recovery to attend a work meeting to developstrategies for survival, pleasure, rebellion, joy, recovery, support,and community within the context of Pride.Please note that this event will be facilitated by Chris Young, is intended for LGBTQ+ people in addiction recovery, but is open to any and all recovery pathways.
